In partnership with the Central Bank of Bahrain and @NortonRoseFulbright, the @BahrainEDB hosted a workshop on #Bahrain ’s recently streamlined procedures for trust registration, developed to enhance the competitiveness of its #TrustsLaw and to reinforce the Kingdom’s position as a regional powerhouse in the financial services industry. #Bahrain is the only country in MENA region with onshore and nationwide trusts law, first introduced more than ten years ago in 2006.
بالتعاون مع مصرف البحرين المركزي و شركة نورتون روز فولبرايت للاستشارات القانونية، استضاف مجلس التنمية الاقتصادية ورشة عمل حول الإجراءات الجديدة المبسطة لتسجيل العُهد المالية التي ستساعد على تعزيز المزايا التنافسية لقانون العُهد البحريني، وتعزيز مكانة البحرين كمركز إقليمي للخدمات المالية وكجهة مرموقة لإدارة الأموال والأصول.
وتعتبر البحرين الدولة الوحيدة في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا التي تطرح قانون العُهد في جميع أرجاء البلد، والتي تم طرحها منذ أكثر من عشر سنوات في عام 2006.

We are delighted to announce Bahrain EDB's record achievements in 2017.
We have set a record year for inward investment, having attracted 71 new companies to #Bahrain with investments amounting to US $733 million. This is expected to increase job creation by up to 72%, generating more than 2,800 local jobs over the next three years.
This is the result of a significant joint effort between the EDB and our partner public sector organisations to realise #Bahrain ’s Economic Vision 2030 and drive forward our transition into a diversified economy that harnesses the productivity of our talented population to compete on a global level.
نفخر بالإنجاز غير المسبوق الذي حققه مجلس التنمية الاقتصادية في العام 2017، حيث نجح في استقطاب 71 شركة إلى #البحرين وباستثمارات وصلت قيمتها إلى 733 مليون دولار أمريكي، مما سيساعد في زيادة خلق المزيد من فرص العمل بنسبة تصل إلى 72% ، حيث من المتوقع أن تخلق هذه الاستثمارات 2831 وظيفة خلال الثلاث سنوات المقبلة
وكان هذا نتيجة عمل دؤوب ومساندة دائمة من شركائنا من القطاعين العام والخاص، فهم أطراف رئيسيون في هذا الإنجاز. ويأتي هذا الانجاز نتيجة للجهود المشتركة الرامية لتحقيق الانتقال من اقتصاد قائم على الثروة النفطية إلى اقتصاد منتج قادر على المنافسة عالمياً بحسب رؤية البحرين الاقتصادية 2030.

The growth momentum of the Bahraini economy has continued to exceed expectations, with the annual pace of growth reaching 3.6% in the first nine months of 2017 making Bahrain the fastest growing economy in the GCC. This robust growth is entirely driven by the non-oil sector which expanded by 4.8% and further boosted by the US$32 billion worth of large-scale infrastructure investments currently in the pipeline according to the latest Bahrain Economic Quarterly published by Bahrain EDB.
وفقاً للتقرير الاقتصادي الفصلي الصادر عن مجلس التنمية الاقتصادية: القطاع غير النفطي في البحرين يفوق التوقعات ويحقق نمواً بنسبة 4.8% في الأشهر التسعة الأولى من 2017 والذي يعكس ما حققه الاقتصاد البحريني من إجمالي نمو وصل إلى معدل 3.6% وهو ما جعل من البحرين أسرع الاقتصاديات نمواً في منطقة الخليج العربي في هذه المرحلة.
