Balancing homeschool and daycare has been an interesting journey. 😏My kids are currently 1, 2, 2, 2.5, and 5 years old. I have a good foundation as a #recreationtherapist in adapting programs to meet people where they are at developmentally. Which is why I love this activity; it is so open ended.
Loose parts, bright colours, fine motor skills and no introduction on "how" to play. As adults we may see a certain way to use these materials but to kids the possibilities are endless. My younger kids like to move all of the beads so that they are in one big pile, or stack them on top of each other. My older kids may sort by colour, start to count the beads, string them by colour (or not), make patterns, or any other numbers of creative play ideas. 🐵
Do you have any loose part ideas to share? This is my favourite "structured" learning that we do together!
