Ran my first race today. 7am leg 1 of Run Away To The Bay, 4.7 miles. This mileage is nothing new to me, but running with a team is and I was nervous. My pace wasn’t fantastic, but I had a blast, learned a ton and can’t wait to try again. If you would have told me 10 years ago I would be a running lover and would run a race with a friend from church or even that I would be a runner who goes to church I would have laughed in your face. Some days I am so in awe of where God has taken me. Diagnosed with an autoimmune at 22, multi injuries, surgeries, digestive issues, anxiety and panic. Don’t let your ‘issues’ become your story. Write your own story. Don’t let doctors or anyone else tell you this is permanent or you can’t do something. Blast past your limits. Our God is a God of miracles, healing and grace. ✨52 Week Gratitude Challenge✨
I have a 57-minute commute from work🕞. This gives me way too much time to overthink.🤔💭 Today particularly, I made myself angry and exhausted just from thinking about all the setbacks I've had that continue to hinder me from meeting my own expectations. Luckily, I was able to channel that stress into some gun-therapy🔫. 🙏🏼Today I am thankful that the gym 🏋🏻♀️ is not my only hobby. Because as much as I would like to be spending every evening lifting weights, for the next couple weeks I have to refrain from excessive walking, bending, or any kind of lifting 😥Today- I am grateful to be healing as expected. I am grateful for a release other than the gym.
