Alkaline Electric Gluten-Free Bread. This bread was SO easy to make & SO delicious!! 😋🍞
• 2 cups garbanzo bean flour • 1.5 cups sparkling water (I used Perrier)
• 1 tsp sea salt • 1 tsp agave • 1 tsp grapeseed oil • Sesame seeds .
To make: add 1 cup of the sparkling water (fresh and room temp) to the flour. Make sure to FOLD it in, instead of stirring. Then add salt, agave, & oil. Next, fold in remaining water. Pour mixture into an oiled bread pan, and then sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake at 350° for 40-45 min. Let cool for about an hour before removing from pan.
“But how do you get an oil from a plant ?” “
I use to wonder this too, how is that bottle of lavender actually lavender ?
Well there is many methods used by many different company’s to producers an essential oil. BUT not all of these methods produce pure, organic, high quality oils, in fact most of these ways destroy the compounds that make an essential oil. Remember that not all essential oils are created equally and that the purity can change depending on the location, temperature and weather including many other factors.
DoTERRA use two methods, both of these resulting in high quality, pure and organic essential oils that actually allow the aromatic compounds to keep their potent, powerful aroma.
The first method is “Steam distillation “
This is the use of heat to extract essential oils from their plant parts, this produces clean, pure essential oils the pressurization used during so protects the complex chemical compounds because the temperatures stay well bellowed boiling point. The chemical profile would be damaged with other processes that use high temperatures.
The steam passes throughout the plant, As the steam passes through, the heat and presssure eases the essential oil from its microscopic protective sacs within the plant. The steam carries the volatile atomic compounds that were released into a collective tube, Here is where it is separated from the water and collected.
The second method is “Expression.” (Cold compressed)
Unlike the process of steam distillation, expression dose not use heat to extract essential oils.
This process is usually used to extract oils from the peels of citrus fruits such as oranges, lemons, grapefruits etc.
During the process the rind of the fruit passes across grated cylinders that grind the peels surface, breaking open tiny sacs that contain the essential oil.
After the essential oil sacs are opened, the fruit is sprayed with water in order to collect the essential oil after it is released.
This water mixture then goes through a filer process to get rid of any excess peel pieces and centrifuges to separate the water from the oil.
A lot of work goes into each and every bottle hey !? 😍🙌

How to eat plant based🤪 1️⃣Season a bunch of veggies, 2️⃣cook them, or don’t ..3️⃣throw it in a bowl, and 4️⃣eat them. 👌🏽Curried cauliflower, steamed spinach, baked sweet potato and golden potatoes, brown rice, last night’s cashew cheesy sauce mixed with sriracha, then topped with hummus. 🥙Strive for diversity, and strive for an abundance. #dailydozen
OATS: One of my top and favourite breakfasts in the world! Not even going #glutenfree can stop me from craving this in the mornings 😅 its funny because for the longest time, I've never tried oatmeal because none of my family members like it.
. ♥️ Oats can be in instant, rolled, steel cut forms and their nutrients remain intact in all of them. Whichever you choose affects the amount of time it takes to cook them (steel cut being the longest, shortest is instant) and the resultant texture (steel cut has a crunchier one). If you're in singapore, you can get a big bag of rolled ones from @gardenpicks, providing good value for money! If you need them to be certified gluten free, try Bob's Red Mills.
. 🌹 High in fibre (beta-glucan)
🌹 May relieve constipation 🌹 Promotes satiety, keeps you filled longer
🌹 Nutrient dense, contains good amounts of minerals including magnesium, phosphorous, zinc and vitamin B1.
🌹 So fun to play around with! Instead of water, I used to make them with milk or Earl Grey tea. Now being dairy and soy free, I use rice milk. Add flavours like matcha or maca powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, frozen berries etc. I typically use a 1/2 cup oats and 3/4 cup liquid ratio because I tend to like them in the balance of creamy and thick. Add twice the liquid if you wish for it to be more soft!
everyone needs to go to @traderjoes right now and buy the cauliflower gnocchi (but pls leave me a bag or 5). tonight’s version included the gnocchi (duh) mushrooms, kale, chicken and tomato sauce. what else should I be mixing in?? #dinewithdg
Eating clean doesn’t have to be complicated or even always well thought out. Sometimes a meal can be random things you put together. I remember about 4 years or so ago, Sam and I went plant based for the first time. I was struggling to retrain my brain with what a meal was “supposed” to look like. 🙄 but I got the hang of it. Now I don’t even always make beautiful meals or even ones that “make sense.” 😂 like this one. And that’s OKAY. Also, those zucchini noodles were straight heaven. 🤤 #chelsbateseats
It took me forever to figure out what I ate was diminishing the results I could have had when I completed exercise programs after programs. Long gone are the days of my youth when my #metabolismburnedexcesscalories .
How I ate kept me only getting minimal results. Last year, once I completed a 21 day program focused on nutrition I learned to enjoy healthier food options, meal prep, and feel confident about my will and ability to do anything my mind set out to do! More importantly I came to the epiphany that #FOODMATTERS ! What I wasn’t keen on was with that program strenuous workouts were discouraged, and exercise is my jam!
But I know it’s not everyone’s thing! What if I told you about ...an EATING ONLY (exercise optional- YAY for me, YAY for #workouthaters ) program that gives results, teaches you to genuinely #LOVEFOOD ...#NOguilt , #NOdeprivation !!! Can I get a #hellyeah ?!!! 🙌🏼💕🎉 Who wants details?!🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️
Eating out can be healthy. It's up to you to make the best choice. Don't give into social pressures. Ask questions about food prep, ingredients or substitutions. It's possible to socialize or have a date night while staying on track. No excuses!
✏ Tip: If you do indulge be sure to have a good source of protein first. Protein regulates insulin levels, so eating it first helps the negative effect of sugar the spike. They regulate one another.
Lemon herb grilled chicken breast
Green bean with almond crust topping and heirloom tomatoes
And the BEST part, cauliflower mash. Seriously it tastes just like mashed potatoes maybe even better! 😋

Y’all I have a NEW Favorite place in Atlanta, or new to me @thespindleatl. This place the has the coooolest little café with rotating pop ups weekly. Meaning it’s a different Menu, different Chef every week! I have been 2 weeks in a ROW now 🙊•
This week I got to eat food that Wilson made, formerly of another place I frequent a lot. I am happy to see him cooking some goods this week @thespindleatl and using Sour Dough Bread from @sedodge 🤤 to make this insanely delicious Mushroom Toast. Washed it all down with my Plum Thyme “Shrub” Drink 😋
Do you ever sometimes feel like YES!🎉🙌🏻 I have my shit together! I am drinking all my water! My fridge is stocked with good food and I am prepped! I am not craving sugar. My skin is looking great! I am ON POINT! Then.....the next week - you end up binging at a friends bday dinner...where a piece of cake turns into turns into 2,3.....Then you are craving bread and sweets all next week and seem to be starving all the time. You end up snacking and overeating at night and wake up feeling like shit. Then your workouts are crappy. And you just WISH you could stop this up and down cycle and just be stable! You don’t want food to control you! You want to LOVE food and appreciate it - not FEAR IT! Anyone feel this way ever!? I hope it’s not just me 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🙋🏻♀️😫 working out had never been my issue. My weak spot is nutrition. And man I have made major improvements - but I realized over the last few weeks that I still have work to do. So in May, I am starting an education program that is focused on nutrition🥗🍒🍷🥙 and I am so excited to learn! If you could relate to this too - maybe you should join us!? I put together an informative group on FB with some videos explaining what I am doing. If you want the link to join the group just comment below or message me and I’ll add you 🙌🏻☺️

One of the things about chronic illness is that most of us worry more about what we are eating than a lot of other things. I’ve learned having some easy recipes that aren’t hard on the gut that I can make in bulk has been a life saver

What’s the secret to making the creamiest hummus?? 🤤
Skin the chickpeas! Trust me.
I’ve tried adding more water, more oil, food processor, vitamix... I had read about this method on multiple blogs and was hesitant to commit to this tedious task, but I can tell you now, I’m never going back... definitely worth the time and effort 😍🙌
How many fruits and vegetables (health promoting, disease-fighting phytonutrients) should we be getting daily for optimal health?! *Aim for two 1/2 cup servings of each color: green, red, white, yellow and purple *One cupped hand= 1/2 cup *Wash and cut up fruits and veggies right after grocery shopping for easy snacks and meal additions *Have a variety on hand at all times *Organic when possible (especially for the #dirtydozen ) *Still struggling to get it all in on a daily basis like I do?! Grab a cold-processed #greens and add to a smoothie!! #variety#bellybuster#diseaseprevention#guthealth#isagenix#qualityoverquantity
