I’m going to tell you the truth, after an hour nap I 100% did not want to do my cardio workout this morning during my break. Was trying so hard to convince myself to do it tonight after work. I’m in the last week of my program and it’s so easy to say “I’ve come this far, what’s one missed day?” NO! I haven’t missed a single workout during my 76 days of this program, I didn’t let soreness, sickness, vacations or laziness beat me and I’m sure as hell not going to let a nap get in the way during my last week. I downed some preworkout and PRESSED PLAY. Was it hard? YUP. But was it worth it? YES. I feel awesome now and know the rest of my day will be so much better knowing I didn’t say “maybe later.” .

So, THIS happened in yoga last night.
After shaking and breathing and bending and balancing....
I put my hands on my hips and thought “wow I love the way that feels”
And by “that” I meant, my hips. .
I thought it with so much love.... and equal surprise. .
For a brief moment I felt in LOVE with my body. .
Not for how it looks.
Not for what t can do.
But just for how it felt to put my hands on my hips. .
Sounds strange... maybe a bit vain... but I don’t care.
I don’t ALWAYS love my body the way it deserves. It’s something I work on DAILY. .
But when I felt what it truly feels like to have unconditional love for self.... to be present in the moment with your body and just feel love and gratitude.
Ohhh that felt sooo good! .
Way better than looking at the amazing photos my hubby takes of me on the beach.
Way more fulfilling than buying a new dress and looking great in it...
This was something deeper. .
The kind of love I think we ALLLLL want ALLL the time. .
It was simple
No string attached
No conditions .
Just pure body love. .
I have officially decided... .
I want MORE of that. For me. For you.
For all the women. For all the men.

Anyway, I stil look more or less the same because I've worked on changing my body composition already, not because I'm genetically blessed.
I lift heavy and I'm being consistent 99% of the time so it doesn't matter if I'm on a week long holiday or like right now - recovering from my surgery.
So don't worry about intentionally not making fitness a priority or taking an intentionak break. Ain't gonna kill you. Just make sure you're putting in the work before and not making excuses. 👊🏼
It’s hard to initiate change when you stay in the same environment. Days and weeks pass anyway and you might as well NOT create and chase your goal.🙇🏽♀️
Nothing around you changes, so why would you? It’d cause uncertainty, instability and effort.👇🏼
But don’t forget the INITIAL reason why you want to change. You DON’T want to be where you’re at right now. You don’t want to continue to feel unfit, frustrated or uncomfortable.
You want to FEEL different. When your motivation is low and you don’t know if initiating that change is worth it, imagine how you’d feel if you’d reach that end GOAL?
That’s where your motivations should come from in order to create new habits in the same environment.✨
What are the 2 biggest things that motivate you push through motivation lows?💫
The world is your gym.💯 You don't need a fully stocked garage, or a gym membership. 💯 Even in the winter, if you are brave. 😉 A couple of tips for you if you are getting fit alone: ➡ Establish the habit of exercise first and foremost. ➡When in doubt, resistance train. Building muscle is KEY to weight loss and functional fitness. ➡Start with body weight resistance until you have mastered form. There are tons of how-to videos on YouTube. ➡Once form is mastered, pick up that iron! ➡Allow 2 days of rest between muscle groups
➡3-4 days resistance training, 2-3 days cardio, everyday flexibility to some degree. ➡Stop jumping on every fad diet train...macros, low fat, low carb, keto, blah blah blah... try them on to find YOUR WAY OF EATING, but remember starving muscles dont grow. ➡Consistency is KEY.

It’s a rather complex movement (like deadlifts) - trust me when I tell you that SO many personal trainers and experienced gym goers still do them wrong af. 👀 You gotta practice, practice, practice but the booty, leg + strength gainz you'll make from improving your barbell squat are priceless. 💪🏼
