I’m now taking a limited number of preorders for Mother’s Day to be delivered on Saturday, May 12. Normally, we don’t deliver on the weekends, but we’re making an exception for Mother’s Day weekend. Cost is partly based on the area it will be delivered. So if you’re looking for a special arrangement to send out for Mother’s Day, contact me with the delivery area, and I’ll give you all the information! What you can expect to see in these mixed bouquets: roses, sweet peas, salvia, snapdragons, accent flowers, a mix of fresh herbs and foliage! #farmerflorist#flowerfarmer#slowflowers#localflowers#fieldtovase#fieldtobouquet
The first of many beautiful images from @kellybrownphoto of our workshop last week with @soilandstem. Thanks so much to all of you who came and brought such great energy and questions. I always love seeing how students connect and find common ground through flowers. Thanks too to @afox.intheflowers for such amazing help and @charlotteandthequail for a wonderful lunch. And last but not least, thank you to @busybeefarmandflorals @ninebarkfarm and @cartrefgardens for your stunning flowers. #emergingfromwinter#gardentovase
Here’s this week’s display @loughcrew cafe. This was made from 2 of our €5 narcissus bunches (which are for sale everyday at Loughcrew) and some extra greenery foraged from the garden. So simple yet effective. Check out our flower kiosk outside the cafe at Loughcrew next time you’re passing. #irishgrownflowers#fieldtovase#grownnotflown
Mother's Day is less than three weeks away! We would love to help you make it extra special. Our bread and flower subscriptions as well as one-time deliveries make a wonderful gift! Pre-order yours at freshbreadandflowers.com for delivery on Friday, May 11. There are limited quantities available.
Excited to add these vintage (heirloom?!) tools to our arsenal! They’re heavier than fiberglass and don’t have fancy ergonomic handles but I love that they’ve got history and can’t wait to give em new life! Not to mention I scored them off a gracious elderly man on the @letgo app for a sweet price.
I’m quite passionate about reusing things, which is really why I’m so happy I got these tools. If you know me, you know most of the clothing in my closet (even the really nice stuff) was purchased second hand. I am active in my @buynothingproject community in Buffalo where we give and share anything and everything for free. I’m sourcing all my floral vessels and mesh either second hand or for free - highly inspired by @tincanstudios on this one. There will be a lot of things I’ll have to buy new (irrigation system and fencing materials mostly), but I’m trying to control the waste in my business wherever I can. There’s always places where we can cut back on waste.
Now, can anyone suggest what I can use that ice pick thing for besides murdering a deer when it breaches the fence? 🌿
This is not my neighborhood so I'm respectfully keeping the clippers away, even though all the overwhelming growth for April has got ✂️✂️✂️✂️✂️on my flower clepto brain. I did learn a very valuable lesson this week though, and that is to not run your hands through foliage that you do not know. 🤔🌿🙅🏻#floristprobs
MOTHER'S DAY - LISTEN UP!!! We are not taking pre-orders or doing any deliveries. Please do not send me angry emails or DMs about this.
If you'd like to get Mom some fresh stems, @flowershopcandles or potted plants you can get them three ways that weekend!! Here's how to find us on May 12th:
1) FLOWER MARKET at the studio from 11-4. We'll have bunches, jars and by-the-stem local Ranunculus, North Carolina PEONIES and more.
2) We're popping up at @lululemon OC with all of the above from 10-2! @thewonderloveshop is also there, so come say Hi.
3) We're popping up at @westelmtoronto in Liberty Village!! If you're brunching at @mildredstemplekitchen with Mom, stroll on by and grab her some fresh local blooms. Perfect.
My days are action packed right now. The snow is nearly gone🎉. Thousands of seedlings are ready for planting. Thousands more being sown. We are building our farm stand this weekend and hopefully going to be prepping the field for planting in few a days. Craziness! 💪I've been doing all this by myself this spring but soon I'll have lots of helpers and not a moment too soon.🌷Exciting times!
We are so overwhelmed with everyone’s love and support!!! We already reached our GoFundMe goal and we cannot thank you all enough for your generosity. We still have 2 weeks left and have decided to keep our campaign going. Any further donations we receive will help us build a $3,000 storm water catchment system (with underground cisterns) off of the pavilion, so we can have a self-sufficient irrigation system. Thanks a million everyone!!! Link in bio for more info.
I loved making this super bright bouquet full of locally grown blooms from @sussexflowerfarm for Violet and Jacobs wedding last year. You can check the rest of the wedding out over on the @rocknrollbride blog today 🌈

Last year I visited the peony farms in Oregon and I was so inspired and at peace when I walked through them that I just knew I needed to change the path I was on in life... As a result of that over then next couple years I will begin to decrease the amount of weddings that I take on and increase the amount of peonies I grow. Currently I have about 500 plants but I am hoping to double that this fall. I have decided to separate the two business and start fresh, so without further ado I would love to introduce you to @wildwestpeonies 🏵💕 Take a peek and give me a follow over there if you would like to watch the peony farm grow. 💕 Also do you like the name?? Tomorrow I will share how it came to be! .
