If you have a penchant for Whisky you will most likely be familiar with the Tullamore D.E.W. distillery. Confession: I've had an @anovaculinary sous vide cooker sitting in my cupboard for years with no motivation to use it. Then on my recent trip to Asia, I learned that so many delicious syrups and infused spirits were made using this precision temperature cooking method so needless to say, I couldn't wait to get back and experiment. To start, I made a @theochocolate cocoa nib-infused @lot40 whisky, a rosemary syrup and a gula melaka (Malaysian brown sugar) syrup, all which came out with an intensely rich depth of flavour. Here were the cocktails I made:
L- 1.5oz sous vide cocoa nib @lot40, 0.5oz nutty solera sherry, 0.5oz @AmaroLucano1894, 1 bar spoon of sous vide gula melaka syrup and 3 dashes of @woodfordreserve smoked cherry bitters, stirred, strained and garnished with orange peel.
R- A modified gin fizz using 2oz @bulldog_gin, 0.5oz sous vide rosemary syrup, 0.5oz lime juice, 2 dashes @scrappys celery bitters, topped with apple soda and garnished with dehydrated lime wheel+rosemary.
Beginning with a large block of ice, we then hand saw it down to the perfect cube for your drink. If you like to sip and savor your cocktail the larger cube will help slow the dilution so you can enjoy the flavor longer.
#Purple Rain INGREDIENTS: 5 or 6 blueberries; 60 mL pisco (we recommend Pancho Fierro Acholado); 15 mL orange liqueur; 15 mL simple syrup (1:1); 30 mL fresh lime juice METHOD 1) Muddle the blueberries in shaker with syrup 2) Add pisco, orange liqueur, lime juice and shake with ice until chilled 3) Strain over ice in rocks glass and garnish with blueberry and lime peel skewer #tuesdaytipple#pisco#blueberries 📷 @georgiaverrells for The Pisco People 🍸 by Dee Allen @inorbit_

Cucumber Moscow Mule
Fresh 🥒 spin on this classic cocktail 🤓Tip - Infuse your vodka. Place = amounts thinly sliced cucumbers and vodka in plastic container for 24 hrs. Strain and store in a glass container. Keep fresh juiced lime juice on hand for quick mules.
2 oz cucumber vodka
1 oz fresh lime juice
Top off with ginger beer (Gosling’s)
This might be an unpopular opinion among the cocktail and bar community, but I’m not a fan of Maraschino liqueur. Maybe I just haven’t acquired the taste yet, which is weird because I like the slightly spiced medicinal fruity vibe of a good sazerac. Anywho, I was inspired to find a riff on a classic cocktail normally made with Maraschino and came up with a Last Word sour variation that uses tequila. “Finalmente” -Cimarron Blanco Tequila

Glass: old fashion
Ingredients: 40 ml of Aperol
15 ml of Ketel One Vodka
20 ml of Cointreau
1 egg white
30 ml of lemon juice
30 ml of simple syrup
Method: Shake vigorously dry, then add ice and beat for 20 seconds and double pour. Perfume with orange oil and decorate with orange peel.
