Got kidnapped to go to breakfast this morning (no really though)... 🍳
☕️ It ended up being the cutest place with the most amazing quiche and great coffee! @blunozercafe @pabloscoffee ▪️
This place is tucked away and easy to miss... I never knew about it before today! But aren’t hole-in-the-wall gems like this the best?!? Can’t wait to go back!
Cuz I missed National Siblings Day yesterday and now I feel like a jerk. 🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️🤷🏻♀️
First pic with my mom and the rest of my (sometimes) cool, kick-ass, jokester of a brother. This is definitely going to go to his head. 😑 Lol!
Interior design and decorating has long been a passion of mine. While currently house hunting I’ve been getting super excited about creating a space that is all ours again and being able to have that settled feeling that you get when a house is your own. It’s been over two years since we sold our home in Chicago and we have been bouncing around ever since, moving cross country, living in three different places and moving our stuff in and out between storage and our rental homes more times than I care to recall. Despite loving where I live in this moment and appreciating everywhere we have been, it’s safe to say I am looking forward to finally having a true home base to put my own design style on and settle into! •
P.S. It’s amazing what you can find at a thrift store or your local #goodwill . This marble top table end table.... $20 and it’s safe to say I’m obsessed with it (not to mention, the revenue generated supports many programs and services provided in your community on mission-related programs and support)! •
Eucalyptus is always an easy touch to not only give your place a more elegant look but it smells amazing too! And only $5 from #wholefoods 🙌🏻
You guys ever have days when you forgot to set an alarm and you wake up feeling all refreshed and then you realize ((holy crap, it’s almost 9am)) and scramble out of bed trying to get your life together in like 5 minutes.... yea it’s one of those days. 🙈 but hey, I had every intention of waking up at 7am so that counts, right?! •
On another note, how sweet is this mama and her sweet boy? My heart is melting!
As an adult do you find yourself still exploring new things, places, adventures? If you had to think about that for a minute, chances are it’s been some time since you did some serious adventuring. Sometimes it’s easy to get so caught up in the hectic parts of life and the monotony of each and every day that it might be hard to remember the last time that you let yourself explore new aspects of life. •
When I lived in Chicago and worked a corporate 9-5 job I found myself not living to my true potential. I was never excited about what I was doing for work and always burned myself out doing work that I simply didn’t care for and certainly wasn’t passionate about. It took time to figure out that that lifestyle wasn’t working for me and that changes needed to be made in order to get out of that “stuck” feeling of my same old routine. •
That’s not to say you need to quit your job and move to a new place but those things weren’t working for ME and I knew that in order to be truly happy in what I was doing I had to switch things up. Those choices were not easy, they never are. But fast forward to now and I wouldn’t change a thing. Find what works for you and go for it with everything you’ve got. (Side note... you might not figure out what that is on your first try, but that’s a whole other topic!)
Moving to Colorado has been a journey in itself but living here has brought so much adventure I almost forgot that just because we are adults it doesn’t mean life has to lack spontaneity or be uneventful. It’s as simple as taking the time to go and try something new and different. Go for a bike ride, drive to a new place and enjoy a hike in nature, trying something different and creative (maybe that’s gardening, cooking or painting, etc.) or join a group or team. It may take you out of your comfort zone but trust me, it’ll be worth it in the end. •
Here’s to being inspired by the kiddos I get to work with who find joy in simplest things and bring so much life and energy to each new day! ☀️ Photos taken at Vasquez Rocks, CA
Happy Monday friends! •
It’s such a sweet thing to observe new parents. Their joy and excitement is undeniable. They are navigating new waters yet they are naturals. They are already such incredible parents you’d think they’d done this before. Life is forever changed and in the best way possible. The way they look at their child is something that never needs to be posed. It’s authenticity is unquestionable. There is something so special about these in-home lifestyle sessions that just makes my heart melt. I’m so happy for this sweet family of [three]!! ❤️
Happy 1st birthday to this sweet little baby doll! Baby B, may you always find so much joy in the little things in life (in this case, the balloons 😂) and light up a room with that beautiful smile and infectious excited laughter! You are so loved! 🎂 🎈 🎉
You are so loved, little one. I absolutely adore these precious and intimate moments between two parents and their new bundle of joy. There is so much love happening that there is really no way to properly describe it! .
#Parents , these moments are so fleeting as your baby grows up wayyy too fast! Make sure you are having these incredible memories captured, especially you moms out there who are so often behind the phone or camera- make sure you are IN some of these photos! That is why having professional photos taken by a hired photographer is so important. You will be so happy to have these memories even a few months later! .
