And we are live... The Honduran ombudsman is here, representative of the EU is here and my sweet and skilled colleagues from the Danish Institute for Human Rights and Centre for Economic, Social and Cultural Rights are here as well. Let the networking begin...
Another good day, with bravery on the tube, waffle breakfast and grand plans. Then a whole day at a conference honing my grand plans. I have so much work ahead of me but I’m not scared of that. Right now though I am four and a half hours into my train ride home in the dark with rain pelting the window and a half hour walk awaiting me. Right now my grandest plan involves a hot water bottle and sleep #longday#goodday#dreambig#CESR#EDdoctor#whyiscornwallsobloodyfarawayfromeverywhere
An artist impression and an animation showing NASA’s Curiosity rover using its laser, part of its ChemCam instrument.
ChemCam is used to vaporize a small amount of rocks or soil, with an infrared laser. Electrons within the atoms hit by the laser become excited and emit light. A spectrometer, part of ChemCam, observes the spectrum of light emitted by the vaporized materials, thus allowing to determine their composition. Pretty cool if you ask me 😎
