🔥HRV and Inflammation ▪️This diagram depicts the relationship between the vagus nerve and inflammation via way of the anti-chollergenic pathway (huh!?). ▪️Without getting too in depth, you have these molecules that contribute to inflammation reactions called cytokines. They transmit inflammatory messages to the cells of the body.
▪️High levels of these cytokines produced in the immune system are correlated with chronic diseases that we'll discuss below.
▪️The first and most important way we can start to decrease the amount of these molecules is via the vagus nerve. The vagus nerve stimulates rest and digest recovery action of your body and communicates to the brain about the status of your organs. ▪️Stimulation of this vagus nerve has been shown to decrease the quantity and circulation and cytokines contributing to inflammation.
❓What does HRV have to do with this❓
♦️HRV is the only way to non invasively measure vagus nerve function.
♦️HRV can give us a window into how active or inactive our vagus nerve is in our body.
❓Why is this important to me❓
♦️Unfortunately chronic and systemic inflammation is what most people will one day succumb to. It is at the root cause of everything from heart disease to Alzheimer's to cancer to diabetes.
♦️If your body stays in a sympathetic fight or flight state too often it can't shut off the inflammatory response and this can cascade into systemic consequences.
♦️HRV can provide an objective measurement into how your body is managing chronic inflammation so that you can properly prioritize the decisions to help combat it.

#abeminus100 // it’s been important for me to show up and learn things i’m not the best at. this movement is probably the most difficult movement for me but i’m slowly getting better every time. the last time we did overhead squats i could only do them with a 15 pound barbell - today i did them with a 45 pound barbell! 💪🏽 progress is progress and in @crossfit you can start your journey at any level, which is what i love. i share this because i love that i have a lot to learn - it motivates me to be my best self! i felt supported by my coach today and am excited to get better at this movement. 🏅 keep pushing yourself, y’all! 🙌🏽😍

Left (16) I was hell bent on decreasing my size by doing whatever it took. I resorted to eating disorders which developed low self esteem, body dysmorphic disorder and depression. I was teased by kids at school for my "hulk" legs or "tree trunks" so badly I'd cry for hours each night dreading the thought of going back.

Right (25) Now I'm hell bent on loving my body! Appreciating my strength, genetics AND size! I work on growing each & every day to my body's fullest potential! I THRIVE & LOVE when I see new mass! My body is capable of amazing things and for that, I am grateful.

1️⃣✔️Entrena tu paladar. Cuando comes mucha azúcar tus papilas gustativas se acostumbran a ella y necesitas más y más azúcar. Esto puede tomar 2 semanas o más, pero poco a poco deja de agregar edulcorante o azúcar a tu café o a tu té. Omite las galletitas chiquitas que te dan a veces con el café.

2️⃣✔️Deja de masticar chicle, aunque te quite la ansiedad momentánea, después te puede pedir más.

3️⃣✔️Come menos azúcar pero tampoco te vayas a los extremos, no es eliminar de tu vida y de la existencia el azúcar, por ende, no tienes que cortar los alimentos que naturalmente la tienen como la fruta o el yogur. 종아리에 엉덩이에 알 배긴 듯 아파서 5000보 정도 걷고,

오늘은 링링이 픽업시간에 쫓겨서 
만보 채워야겠다는 일념 하나로 중간중간에 뛰었더니
거의 500kcal로 정도 가까이 갔네 ㅎㅎㅎ.

내일부터는 조금씩 런닝하는 시간을 늘려야겠다 😖😖

요즘 몸이 휘청거릴 정도로 바람이 심한데
링링이 프리스쿨 내려주자 마자 쇼파에 앉지도 않고
