City of Fallen Angels is quite possibly the weakest book in the series. I can't believe I never realized how annoyingly insufferable Clary and Jace are as a couple. Thankfully, I was able to see that the second time around, I was oblivious to it, or at least I ignored it, four years ago. It's a good thing the supporting characters are more interesting than our Bella and Edward wannabes. Simon is, and always will be my favorite character of TMI series, so much happens to him in this book, his best friend takes him for granted somewhat ( as usual) and he's got to choose between two girls, and yet through it all he still manages to be his selfless self in the end. Magnus is still his fabulous self, Isabelle is as fiery and wicked with a whip, while Alec is more himself thanks to love.
Now, let's step away from the land of Angel warriors and into the land of Sam and Dean. A few months ago if you told me I'd be on season six of Supernatural I would have looked at you like you're crazy. Now, I'm hooked, this series just gets better and better with each season. There's never a dull moment, the characters, good and evil, are well written, and the bond between Sam and Dean has brought me to tears more than once. You just gotta love Cass too.
