Ah ship life...I was sitting with a friend at my favorite cafe in Juneau, Alaska, and on my way to the bathroom I passed what looked someone drawing my profile. And it was! (I charmingly asked the guy before he left). I got drawn by Arnie Weimer, a local artist who in fact did the mural at the top of the cafe and a public one up the road! Also, my sloppy joe was AMAZING
Very happy 25 wonderful pets found their loving #fureverhome still lots of work and help needed, looking forward to more great work with our friends. #Repost @alaskakittenfoster with @get_repost
Clefton was a star at the adoption event this weekend! He was the door greeter/shoulder cat. @alaskacatadoptionteam adopted over 25 cats and kittens for the National Adoption event @petsmart and it appears the other organizations did equally as well! Clefton is a great addition to these events and helps promote questions about rescue. Here he is on one of the volunteers, Eric’s shoulder. #petsmart#nationaladoptionweekend#adventure#love#kindness#alaskaevents#overthetoptents#alaska
While the rest of the group is galavanting around town. I’m getting bigger, faster, stronger, and smarter so I can better fight for freedom. Just put in a 6.75 mile run on the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail #alaska#running#liberty
🔥OMG! 🔥I could die of happiness now!
Our dry brush cleanser is back in stock after like months!
It’s the best one out there! No joke I’ve tried many, and this will not disappoint! Cleanning your brushes are important people! Getting break outs? That could be your dirty brush!
This is my ride or die 💕
“In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace” Ephesians 1:7
My beau and I have hit a little rough patch, so our pastor suggested we read and pray through Ephesians. We are His sons and daughters because we have been redeemed and forgiven. @youversion #verseoftheday#alaska#wanderlust
Taking a rest day, because even in road tripping, you need a rest. We ultimately decided at 4:30am, when it was pouring rain, to see if our hotel room was available for a second night.
After a 7am breakfast and confirmation we could stay another night, we proceeded back to the hotel - and I personally, slept. A LOT. Until noon! Definitely rare for me.
Because of this choice, I feel we’re better prepared, less rushed, and more well-rested for our Dalton Highway journey tomorrow.
I’m doing my best to post a new blog entry in the next couple hours, and schedule a few more for the upcoming time that I’ll be completely off grid in the great Alaskan “middle of nowhere, but beautiful.” Link in bio: @bluemelody9098 .
