Layan Beach is also a less know beach northwest of Phuekt, one of my favorite as well few years ago with white sandy beach and crystal clear water. There are several ways to access the beach but I prefer to stroll through Laguna village with a scooter and park at Dream Beach Club.
There are also always a few jetski boys relaxing under those pine tree lines ready to offer you an alternative activity should you want an adrenalie rush. One of the advantage of the location comes after sundown, where you can find some of Phuket’s finest restaurants just minutes away from Laguna’s entrance.
Northwest of the island just 20-minutes drive from Phuket airport. Mai Khao area is in fact a national park and hosting only several resorts.
10-kilometres of tranquility golden sand beach a joint with the warm Andaman sea. It is the longest beach stroll you can enjoy on the island. And it is indeed one of the unspoiled crowd-free beach with spectacular sunsets from Phuket's west coast. Do look out for the tide times as Mai Khao has strong and large waves. Yet it is therapeutic to listen and feel those waves clash and touch so close to your toes along with the panoramic view of sunset leaping into your eyes.
Kamala Beach has exploded with the opening of Cafe Del Mar and HQ Beach club. Waves are flat and slow. There are patches of sunbed vendors scatter along the glorious paved coast. Kamala village (town) offers various local cafe, massage shops and cheap bars and dining. But always check for jellyfish flags alerts prior!
Sunset is slightly distance away, but you can always chase it down with a jetski rental. They are located under the tall palm tree shades.
