The boys had a great time road tripping with their dad yesterday to AL. (Oliver told me California 😁 He knew it was wrong as soon as it came out of his mouth though) They picked up a refurbished grain bin that we will use for hog and chicken feeds. The ability to buy in bulk helps us cut down on cost, trips to the feed store, and all the waste that comes from feed bags. Between Michael, the tractor and Boone (helping fill the blocks with cement) the new equipment is up! Great works guys!
Thanks @apsu_ka for coming out to help around the farm today! It wasn’t glamorous work, but we were glad to have extra hands to cut potatoes, get some seeds started, feed the animals and move the pigs again. Great work and attitudes, guys! 💪 #tfigrows#communityservice#apsu
We moved the pigs again today. They were so happy to be on new pasture. They’ll have the clover eaten up in no time!
PS- I, Regina, helped move said pigs for the first time😜 Hey Claud family. If you’re reading this I didn’t gag once! I’ve grown up😆 .
We are searching for a Farm Manager to help us continue our mission to grow healthy food, empower lives and build community. This is a salaried position. For more information please send us a direct message. #tfigrows#goodfoodjobs#sustainableagriculture
Back in December, Michael and Nora built a platform in our animal shed because it had collected water for so long. With all the rain we’ve had lately, the platform has made a huge difference and assures that our mama goats and chickens have dry shelter!
Suns out☀️🙌🏻😎 And if we’re gonna have a positive attitude about all the rain we got this weekend... the chickens have their own fresh water spring now AND we’re thankful that we built a platform off the side of the coop so it won’t just collect water and be a muddy mess all the time. Happy Monday! #tfigrows
