Here I am again trying not to get my ass kicked! I have a few good moves that I know tho! 😅😘 I really do love BJJ because there is no losing. I always learn something new which is a win and I try to focus on that so I don’t get discouraged because BJJ isn’t something you just get overnight. Jiu-Jitsu is so different than anything I have ever done. I have been told to trust in the process—especially during the many “this is kicking my butt” moments!! 🥊🥋 I had one of those moments last night where it finally clicked that trying to be calm helps me conserve energy, focus on my position, and avoid “fighting” through it as if I am being attacked!! Lol 😂 I want to muscle my way through it sometimes and I am learning to feel my way through it and try to stay calm which is hard for me. 💪🏽 My progress is mine alone — which brings me back to having patience in the journey. I have never done anything like this before and I love it.

Then I read this great post. We have a great community and I’m proud that we have an environment that women feel comfortable and thrive in. #Repost @ericaweinberg with @get_repost
See that smashed person.. that’s me 🙋🏽 some nights I feel like I’m doing terrible😂😂.. but I know I’m progressing step by step! But BJJ is one of the best things I’ve ever done. I had no idea I’d love it as much as I do. And I get to train with the best people. So grateful to have found this gym👊🏾💪🏾
